Whtas better apple or sony vaio, im trying to choose what notebook laptop is the best?

Sony are market leaders and offer great quality products as too do apple who are seen as market inovators. The main difference is that they run on different operating systems. A Sony will run on Windows (if its new, probably Vista) and an apple will run Mac OS X Tiger.
I guess it would depend really on what you want to use your laptop for as some products and services arent available for a Mac (but you can usually find alternatives, or even run Windows on a Mac)
